Description
Merchandising- Sales & Support Representative The National Sales & Service Team works directly and in-directly with some of our largest retail partners as well as smaller retailers around the country.  In this role you will be responsible for servicing accounts that require new store sets (rug displays & racks) as well as monthly maintenance.  You will play an integral role in assisting the National Sales team to place new products, assist in periodic updates and switch outs, as well as assistance with navigating customer requirements and concerns.  In addition this position includes travel to company trade shows for set up and ongoing support during the shows. Primary responsibilities will include: 1. Setting new displays and rug racks 2. Setting up and working trade shows 3. Support the outside sales team in making suggestions for product placement in terms of spacing efficiencies and process improvements where needed. 4. Provide product knowledge overview, etc. sizing options, rug types, colors and Nourison capabilities. 5. Provides feedback to Manager after each store visit. 6. Assist in company warehouse when time allows. Qualifications: 1. Prior experience working with large retailers such as Home Depot, Furniture Chains, etc. 2. Ability to travel 50% of the time and manage time while out on the road. 3. Able to lift 50lbs or more and stand hours at a time. 4. Can work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines while maintaining daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities. 5. Willingness to go beyond expectations with a strong drive for continuous growth. 6. Excellent follow-up skills, ability to adapt professionally in any environment and strong ability to multi-task. 7. Willingness to learn product lines, retailer requirements, etc. 8. Basic knowledge and use of hand tools 9. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
Responsible for servicing retail accounts by setting up new rug displays and performing monthly maintenance. Supports the national sales team with product placement, trade show logistics, and providing product knowledge to partners.
