Job Description: The Bank of America Practice/Enterprise Team is responsible for providing payment processing solutions to high opportunity small businesses in the healthcare industry and enterprise business banking. The Merchant Region Executive (MRE) leads a team of Merchant Specialists. MREs primary role is to drive responsible growth through the execution of merchant acquisition and deepening strategies to deliver payment processing solutions to small business clients that meet their business priorities. They partner with leadership across the Consumer and Small Business organization to deliver the company by developing and executing integrated region-wide customer-driven strategies that drive exceptional client care, deeper client relationships, and operational excellence. They will work closely with cross functional and internal resources to deliver the voice of the client to the development of broader solution, marketing and sales strategies. MREs develop a team of high performing Merchant Specialists, hiring the right talent and ensuring they have the resources, skills, training and support to meet business objectives. They create and maintain an environment of accountability and continuous improvement. MREs lead with knowledge of the industry, client needs and Bank of America merchant solutions to provide coaching, vision and leadership to their teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of Merchant Specialists (~15 - 20 FTE) Expertise required in merchant pricing, software, gateways, and security, as well as expert industry knowledge in Healthcare, Retail, Restaurant, Business-to-Business, and ISVs Minimum 2 weeks of travel each month (approximately 10 Business Days per month) Drive accountability with leaders to ensure balanced performance is achieved, including assigned sales and revenue goals, operational excellence, risk management, and client experience standards Ensure partnership and growth strategies are implemented across the region to build relationships and cultivate new business and strategic alliances across Business Banking in order to promote Bank of America’s suite of merchant solutions Act as a champion for clients by connecting expertise across the company to help them achieve their goals Recruit, develop and cultivate a diverse group of leaders and consultants within the region Leadership Competencies: Organizationally savvy, proven leadership in coordination efforts across multi-business unit stakeholders Strong relationship management and ability to navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus, and resolving conflicts in a large, distributed organization Strong communication skills at the executive level, able to simplify and concisely communicate complex information Strong data & business-centric mindset with ability to utilize sound judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal outcomes A leader who is viewed by others as having a high degree of integrity and forethought in his/her approach to making decisions; acts in a transparent and consistent manner while always taking into account what is best for the organization. Prepare Questions – Interviewing is a two-way street. By asking thoughtful questions, you communicate your interest and learn a lot about the job. Choose two or three questions to ask your interviewer. Avoid asking a lot of questions about vacation time or breaks. 6. Practice – It may seem awkward, but it is the best way to come across well in an interview. Practice your own "great responses" with others or in front of a mirror until you appear relaxed and at ease. 7. Follow-up – Send a brief follow-up letter to the interviewer.
