POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and professional Merchant Specialist to join our Gilbert home office team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for contacting local and national merchants to renew and secure discount offers for our fundraising programs. Once agreements are confirmed, you’ll send contracts via text for electronic signature and ensure all merchant relationships are maintained and tracked.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills—comfortable with high call volume.
• Persuasive and personable with the ability to quickly build rapport.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient in tracking agreements and follow-ups.
• Comfortable using texting platforms, e-signature tools, and CRMs.
• Previous experience in sales, telemarketing, or account management is preferred.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team setting.

• Conduct outbound phone calls to merchants to renew and secure discount offers.
• Clearly communicate the value of partnership with Fundraising University.
• Send updated merchant agreements via text message for electronic signature.
• Track and organize all merchant communications and signed agreements in our ERP.
• Build and maintain positive long-term merchant relationships.
• Work closely with internal teams to coordinate follow-ups and ensure seamless execution.
