As an MET Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all vehicle repairs are completed safely, accurately and to manufacturer and industry standards. Responsibilities of a MET Technician will include: Inspecting vehicle structure, mechanical components and paintwork Ensuring vehicles meet all safety requirements prior to handover Removing, storing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components Safely handling and disposing of vehicle fluids and gases Reassembling vehicles following repair, carrying out detailed quality checks Performing 4-wheel alignments where required Completing quality control checks, final sign-off and ATA documentation Identifying and reporting faults or additional repair requirements Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment Following approved repair methods and ensuring documentation is accurate and visible Carrying out vehicle safety checks, beam settings and recording warnings on job cards Ensuring all safety-critical components are fitted and torqued to specification Skills and experience required as a MET Technician: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in motor vehicle body repair Auto electrical qualifications and practical experience Knowledge of computerised wheel alignment systems Strong mechanical and suspension knowledge A full UK driving licence Recognised Air Conditioning and Encapsulated Glass training (preferred) A flexible, team-focused approach with a positive attitude High levels of professionalism, accountability and attention to detail Joining our team at ABL1 Touch means becoming part of a dynamic organisation that values its employees and provides opportunities for professional growth.
