SUMMARY

Supreme Steel iscurrently looking for quality driven, experienced Metal Fabricators (Structural Steel Plate Fitters) to join our production teamat our facility in Acheson, AB. These are full time unionized positions for day and afternoon shift.
Metal Fabricators (Fitters) are responsible for the layout, assembly and fitting of steel sections and plate to complete assemblies using tack welding, bolting and other methods. Successful candidates for these positions must be conscientious, capable of reading interpreting blueprints for all types of projects to fabricate steel components accurately, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards in all fabrication processes. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional steel solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator (Fitter) in the steel industry.
  • Metal Fabricator (Structural Steel Plate Fitter) Journeyperson / Red Seal or Apprentice Certificate considered an asset
  • CWB certification considered an asset
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Possess mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Layout, assemble and fit steel sections and plate according to project drawing, quality requirements and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
  • Operate various machinery including Overhead cranes, forklifts, welding equipment and shop tools; grinders, drills, oxy fuel cutting torch
  • Perform welding tasks with precision to ensure structural integrity.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
  • Maintain equipment and workspace in accordance with safety regulations.
