JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical processes, tig welding, and fabrication, along with excellent leadership skills. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing shop activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in all operations. The Shop Manager will be responsible for coordinating the workflow, supervising staff, and maintaining equipment to meet production goals.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in rigging techniques and safe lifting practices.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in various manufacturing processes.
  • Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and use of press brake machines.
  • Familiarity with machining processes and blueprint reading for effective production planning.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment safely.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to manufacturing tasks.
  • Experience in construction or ductwork assembly is advantageous.

  • Coordinate rigging and lifting operations using cranes and forklifts as necessary.
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies needed for manufacturing.
  • Train staff on proper techniques for welding, machining, ductwork assembly, and other manufacturing processes.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications.
