Overview Element has an opportunity for a Metallurgical Prep Technician to safely and accurately perform metallurgical sample preparations, such that subsequent testing and evaluations can be conducted in accordance with applicable standards, specifications and customers’ PO (purchase order). Salary: $19- $23/hr DOE Responsibilities Section, mount, and polish samples in preparation for metallurgical evaluation. Setup equipment and perform testing for metallurgical corrosion evaluations Provide sample support to Metallurgists Work with other staff to meet the delivery obligations of the metallographic laboratory Ensure safety of self, coworkers, and visitors by following written and verbal safety procedures Participates in company 5S and Safety initiatives Skills / Qualifications Minimum high school graduate Able to work in a fast-paced environment Proactive, self-motivated, team player Keen to learn Working knowledge of Microsoft Office General computer skills Diversity Statement At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
