Metallurgical Tech
We are looking for a Metallurgical Technician to join our Lansing, NY team.
As our Met Tech, you will assist the metallurgy engineers in day-to-day operations involving metallic elements. Performs routine tasks, including operating and maintaining equipment, as well as conducting analysis and experimental procedures.
This is a great position for an individual with manual dexterity willing to train and learn more about metals testing.
Location: Lansing, NY
Salary: $19-$22/hour

Your Challenge

• Mounting, polishing, and saw cutting metal and alloy samples using hand tools and/or machines
• Performing various tests on metal samples to determine strength, hardness, elasticity, etc.
• Conducting microscopic examinations of metals and alloys
• Writing data reports based on the tests conducted

What You Bring

• MS Suite
• Comfortable operating computer powered equipment
• Manual dexterity
• Able to lift 20 lbs. without assistance
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred
