Job Description SGS is seeking a metallurgical technician to join the team in Welshpool. Responsibilities include, however, are not limited to: Undertaking sample preparation tasks as directed - these will include, drying, weighing, rotary and / or riffle splitting, crushing using a range of crushing equipment items. Assist senior technicians to complete projects which require a higher level of skills and experience to those of the technician in this role. Ensure project deliverables are achieved and quality outputs are reached. Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interests of the Company. Qualifications The successful candidate will have: 1 – 2 years experience in the minerals processing / production / laboratory testing industries. Knowledge and experience with various commodities and unit operations. Experience with some metallurgical laboratory operations and /or testing operations. A Forklift certification. First aid training.
Responsibilities
The technician will be responsible for undertaking various sample preparation tasks, including drying, weighing, splitting, and crushing materials using different equipment. They must also assist senior technicians on complex projects to ensure quality outputs and project deliverables are met.
