We are recruiting for a Metallurgist in Reno, NV. Our client is a leading international mining consultancy specializing in metallurgical testing, engineering design, and EPCM services. With global operations in over 30 countries, they are renowned for its expertise in gold and silver extraction through heap leaching and cyanide processing, as well as base metal recovery.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position involves hands-on metallurgical testing, process development, and engineering support for a variety of global mining projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical capabilities, innovative problem-solving skills, and a passion for optimizing mineral recovery.

• Plan, conduct, and supervise metallurgical test work, including bottle roll, column leach, gravity, flotation, and solvent extraction tests.
• Analyze ore samples and develop flowsheets for gold, silver, copper, and other metal recovery.
• Interpret test results and generate detailed technical reports for internal use and client submission.
• Collaborate with project engineers on process plant design and feasibility studies.
• Support pilot plant operations and provide process troubleshooting.
• Interface with clients and vendors to define test objectives and project scopes.
• Maintain laboratory safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
