JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Failure Analysis Plan, conduct, and report materials-related failure investigations. Coordinate with third-party labs for advanced testing when required. Document findings and recommend corrective actions. 2. India Metals Testing Laboratory Oversight Set up and commission laboratory equipment for local testing. Develop and implement a roadmap for the lab to become a Coating Center of Excellence. Define in-house vs. outsourced testing capabilities. Establish a centralized tool for storing and sharing test data across the enterprise. 3. Special Process Audits Collaborate with India SQE team to audit supplier processes. Assess supplier capabilities for Weatherford products. Align audit procedures with global standards in coordination with relevant stakeholders. 4. Product Line Training Attend engineering training sessions to understand product design and manufacturing. Gain expertise in materials of construction and their selection rationale. QUALIFICATION AND REQUIRED SKILLS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science. Minimum 3+ years of experience in metallurgy, failure analysis, or materials testing. Experience in oil & gas or heavy engineering preferred. Familiarity with lab setup, testing standards, and supplier audits. Hands-on experience in conducting metallurgical failure investigations. Knowledge of coating systems, corrosion mechanisms, and surface treatments. Experience working with third-party labs and interpreting test results. Understanding of special processes such as welding, heat treatment, and surface finishing. PREFERRED SKILLS: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of metallurgical testing methods and international standards. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams. Proficiency in data management and reporting tools. Project management and planning skills #LI-AG1
