Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Meter Reading Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading a team that delivers essential field-based services to customers.
This includes overseeing meter reading activities, conducting inspections, and supporting investigations related to customer accounts and metering infrastructure.
You’ll ensure service delivery meets operational standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and team development.
The role also involves managing service delivery through external contractors, requiring contract management skills to ensure compliance, performance, and effective collaboration.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WITH THIS ROLE

  • Support the optimisation of the Service Customer Process in alignment with the Water Corporation’s Accountabilities Framework.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of customer-focused tactical initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by promoting effective communication, teamwork, and a commitment to ongoing development and improvement.
  • Investigate customer enquiries and complaints, providing accurate information to assist in timely resolution.
  • Conduct meter testing activities to support accurate billing and ensure compliance with the Bill Customers Process.
  • Engage with customers to manage supply restrictions and reinstatements as part of debt management procedures, including negotiation and liaison to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Oversee service delivery involving external contractors, ensuring alignment with contract requirements, performance standards, and operational objectives.
  • Support contract management activities, including monitoring compliance, resolving service issues, and maintaining effective working relationships with contracted teams.
