REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in performance management, service level management, or similar roles in energy, utilities, or telecommunications
  • Understanding of smart metering technologies and regulatory requirements
  • Technical knowledge of electrical engineering, UK metering systems, and British Gas Installation processes
  • Knowledge of electricity and gas metering standards and regulations
  • Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and drive decision-making
  • Project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and risk management
  • Degree in engineering (electrical, electronic, mechanical) desirable
Responsibilities
  • Ensure technical compliance of the metering estate
  • Maintain safety and certification standards
  • Support the business on technical issues
  • Engage with industry forums and contribute to safety standards
  • Collaborate with industry partners, manufacturers, and MAPs
  • Guide hardware decisions and assess risks
  • Manage internal and external teams for metering triage and certification testing
