DESCRIPTION

Seeking qualified candidates to fill an exciting opportunity as a Metrology R&D Chemist position in the Analytical Group of the Technology organization in Longview, TX. Metrology R&D Chemists generally work in conjunction with peer PhD Chemist/Engineers and BS Chemists. The Metrology R&D Chemist will be responsible for developing & validating new analytical methods for the evaluation and characterization of finished products, raw materials & intermediates, and the processes used to manufacture and manage them.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ph.D. in Metrology or related discipline from an accredited college or university required.
• 2-3 years of experience in the semiconductor field or in a R&D/production laboratory environment is a plus.
• Instrumentation and analytical skills experience preferred – TD/GCMS, GC/GCMS, IC/ICMS, HPLC/UPLC/LCMS, GFAA, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, FTIR, UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, Electrochemical and wet chemistry techniques. Emphasis on ICP-MS.
• Innovative and creative problem solving, math and science skills, and familiarity with statistical methodology.
• Initiative and the ability to work in a team setting.
• Clear and effective written and oral communication is essential.
• General computer experience with relevant Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
