About the Position The Metrology Technician supports Dynamic Group’s inspection and quality processes by programming and maintaining 3D multi-sensor measurement systems, including OGP and Zeiss equipment. This role provides technical support for New Product Introduction (NPI), First Article Inspections, validation activities, and special inspection requests. The technician works closely with Quality and Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, perform calibrations, and ensure inspection activities are completed accurately and on schedule in a medical device manufacturing environment. Primary Job Responsibilities Facilitate NPI inspection activities per established plan Proactive communication to inspection resources of plan Provide real time resolution to constraints Provide proactive communication to interested parties the status of requests and constraints impacting completion Facilitate gage R&R and TMV efforts Prepare resources (parts, equipment, documentation, people) Complete preliminary statistical evaluation prior to submission for reporting Provide real time troubleshooting support Facilitate completion of First Articles Bubble prints Create inspection sheets Prepare resources (parts, equipment, documentation) Facilitate completion of FAIs Complete preliminary evaluation prior to submission for reporting Provide real time troubleshooting support Facilitate completion of process OQs & PQs Prepare resources (parts, equipment, documentation, people) Facilitate completion of OQs & PQs Complete preliminary evaluation prior to submission for reporting Provide real time troubleshooting support Validation Support Provide support to protocol generation efforts with input from the Validation Engineer Provide support to report generation efforts with input from the Validation Engineer Program OGP and Zeiss multi-sensor systems Program basic to moderate programs Provide real time troubleshooting & training support to QC, QA, & NPI functions Complete probe / sensor calibrations Provide tactical support to completion of inspection activities as needed Prepare and measure samples as needed to meet due dates Data entry Provide backup support to QA and receiving inspection efforts Facilitate completion of special inspection requests Program OGP and Zeiss multi-sensor systems Program basic to moderate programs Provide real time troubleshooting & training support to QC, QA, & NPI functions Complete probe / sensor calibrations Provide tactical support to completion of inspection activities as needed Prepare and measure samples as needed to meet due dates Provide backup support to QA and receiving inspection efforts Facilitate completion of special inspection requests Requirements Education and Experience: Two (2) year degree in a related field High School Diploma or GED Completed coarse work in programming Calypso, PCDmis, or other major metrology software Required Skills: Minimum of 1 year of mechanical inspection experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to complete independently first article inspections Applied understanding of GD&T Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks Familiarity with creation and submission of PPAP or validation reports Highly skilled in the use of mechanical inspection gages such as calipers, gages, micrometers, drop indicators, etc. Must be flexible and able to handle a diverse workload and pace Preferred Experience: Inspection of product in an ISO13485 environment Applied use of toolmaker or video scopes Use of CMM or VCMM ISO 13485:2016 standards preferred Benefit Overview Dynamic Group offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' health, financial security, and overall well-being.
