Job Summary: This is a multi-purpose role responsible for planning and execution of all survey work as well as operational responsibilities in creating shop-related work package information. This role will cooperate with multiple departments while supporting overall company objectives. Essential Functions: Support all TTI/FSS Company Safety Policies to ensure they are followed Verify conformance of product to shop drawings and contract requirements through: Dimensional checks with FARO and other survey equipment Generates inspection records or provides input to QC Manager/Prefabrication Manager for records as required Support facility Fabrication schedule as needed Ability to lead, direct, and delegate to the survey team as needed to complete overall objectives and workload Establish Standard Operating procedures and continuous improvements Mentor, develop, and cross-train quality team with internal/external materials, systems, and methodologies Focus on continuous improvement Maintain all required calibration certificates for equipment Ensure all software and equipment are maintained in working order Additional Duties: Additional responsibilities or duties may be required to support company operations Teamwork: This position is a proactive problem solver and will work with the Superintendent(s), Foreman, and Quality Manager in a Continuous Improvement Environment with a focus on Safety, People, and Quality Actively participate in safety meetings and promote company safety culture while working closely with the safety department Qualifications: Individuals must be able to perform each essential function and represent the company in a professional manner. The requirements listed are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job Must have a good knowledge and understanding of all operations, inspections, and equipment involved in the process of material survey Must possess strong computer skills including CAD, and MS programs Education and/or Experience High School Diploma 3 years’ experience in custom steel fabrication Language Skills Must be able to communicate professionally and show respect both orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, other departments, and managers Reporting This role will work closely with all Operations staff, Superintendents, QC Managers, and Safety Managers. Overall reporting to Prefabrication Manager with daily reporting to Operations Coordinator.
