ABOUT THE POST The student will design and develop a small WordPress microsite linked to the main University domain for The Worker Writers and Community Publishers research project. The site will present research outputs, articles, and findings. Website pages to include: Home page About page Contact page Blog / News section to showcase articles and updates Main Responsibilities: Designing the overall look and structure of the microsite Creating initial sketches and wireframes Developing a simple brand identity and visual style for the site Building the WordPress site, including theme and plugin selection Implementing page layouts and navigation Optimising images for web use Ensuring content is clearly presented and accessible Provided by the project team: Written content and textual copy Images and supporting assets WordPress web support Person specification The successful candidate will be highly organised, with very good attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written skills. They will be proficient in WordPress and able to work independently. They will also be familiar with the Adobe Suite, image compression software and SEO. They will have a keen interest in SEO development and knowledge of AI implementation.
