Job Description Day Shift Mezz Operator Wallingford – Home of Rowse Honey Monday to Friday (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm alternating) Salary: £36,875.84 Our Wallingford site — the home of our iconic Rowse Honey — is looking for a dedicated Day Shift Mezz Operator to join our production team. Reporting to the Mezz Floor Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in producing our sauces and curds, ensuring every batch meets our high standards of quality, safety and consistency. This is a hands‑on role where accuracy, teamwork and attention to detail are essential. You’ll be responsible for weighing ingredients, following production specifications and completing all required IFS system transactions using the correct HU. Key Responsibilities Mix all ingredients to the correct product specifications in line with the daily production plan. Follow all standard operating procedures, work instructions and escalation processes relating to raw materials, components and quality defects. Ensure all waste materials are disposed of correctly and in line with site waste‑stream requirements. Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene and housekeeping across the working area. Complete all actions arising from GMP and Health & Safety audits within agreed timelines. Take ownership of your output and product quality, ensuring all work meets specification. Report any equipment defects or potential issues promptly. Maintain accurate paper records and complete all IFS transactions as required. Qualifications Key Skills and Experience: Previous experience of Mezz floor and bulk prep positions and running and operating of all equipment Previous Food Production experience Qualifications and knowledge Good understanding of IFS system. Good understanding of CCPs on Mezz. Good level of Numeracy (L1 equivalent) Qualities and Experience Good organisational skills, prioritisation of own workload. Good awareness of allergens in line with HACCP risk assessment. Good experience of right first-time checks.
