Description The primary responsibility of the Production Manager role is to manage and organize the daily operations of the manufacturing plant. The Production Manager oversees employees, production and efficiency and plant maintenance. The Production Manager maximizes stewardship, develops processes to ensure the plant is running smoothly, quickly, efficiently and safely and validates quality controls. This role requires the ability to manage teams as well as individual direct reports. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Directs and manages daily operations for production. Establishes and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards. Works with the Project Manager to direct production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts. Controls and minimizes labor overtime. Works with the Materials Manager to direct production inventory control. Works with the Materials Manager to maintain inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timeline. Works with the Materials Manager to maintain and ensure the accuracy of the perpetual inventory system. Works with the purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies and equipment. Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel. Selects, develops, trains, mentors and supervises staff. Provides thought leadership to accomplish company goals and objectives. Strategizes with department supervisors to review quality and process developing solutions to improvements and efficiencies. Manages weekly production meetings. Prepares production information and presentations for leadership teams and clients as needed. Actively participates in a working environment where teamwork, quality, and innovation are highly valued. All other duties as assigned. Experience working on cross-functional teams. Demonstrated competence at team leadership and development. Ability to meet tight deadlines and maintain quality service while under pressure. High level of conscientiousness and attention to detail. Ability to work alone or within groups as necessary. Excellent interpersonal communication skills Demonstrate a strong work ethic. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Power Point. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
