SUMMARY: Brown University Health is looking for an enthusiastic, Scheduling Coordinator for our Revenue Cycle department supporting radiology and imaging patients. The core Success Factors include: Instill Trust and Value Differences Patient and Community Focus and Collaborate RESPONSIBILITIES: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Scheduling of patients into the Imaging Department for diagnostic exams from internal and external referrals Communicating with patients and provider practice personnel by telephone and electronic means Answering phone calls from provider practice staff and patients regarding procedures that need to be scheduled or re-scheduled Ensuring accurate information is in all records and systems MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of imaging and radiology terminology and procedures is a plus Requires appropriate time management skills. Ability to process multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment. Ability to work in a stressful environment. Must be able to maintain a pleasant demeanor and appropriate body language when functioning in a stressful environment. Must be able to function independently. Maintains a neat and professional appearance. Ability to communicate verbally with patients, staff and Physicians. Must be able to relate to diverse patient/visitor populations effectively. Maintains a neat and organized workspace. Computer skills appropriate to the tasks assigned. Typing and secretarial skills necessary to perform a variety of duties assigned by the Imaging manager. EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent Two years of college or secretarial school, medical terminology, and computer skills preferred.
