This position is responsible for leading a team that designs and executes medical drug strategy. It oversees development of standard and custom Medical Drug fee schedules, helps execute the process to implement those fee schedules, and works cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization to drive progress on an array of Medical Drug initiatives (e.g., preferred drug, site of care, other policies). This position has an understanding of health plan reimbursement, and is skilled at leading teams that perform data analysis. It attracts, retains, and develops a strong team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor and 4 years experience in healthcare network or reimbursement roles, or in presenting analytic results/insights to audiences at different levels OR 6 years experience in those areas without a degree
  • 4 years experience in healthcare network or reimbursement roles, or in data analysis and information reporting
  • 1 year leadership and/or supervisory experience
  • Experience with negotiation, decision making, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Interpersonal skills including but not limited to verbal and written communication
  • PC experience to include Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • SQL, SAS and Teradata or other reporting tools / languages experience
  • Initiative to solve complex problems; takes an outside in perspective to identify innovative solutions

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with health plan reimbursement (e.g., network contracting or medical drug reimbursement)
  • Experience managing a data/analytics team
  • Advanced degree such as MBA, MHA or JD
