Preferred Qualifications:
- Five years of experience working in a correctional environment maintenance department practicing preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as emergency response. - Three or more years of experience supervising staff in a correctional environment or two years of supervising skilled trades technicians. - The selected candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Three years of experience working with Maintenance Connection (CMMS) or other maintenance operating software. - Five years of experience with State of Georgia Purchasing rules and regulations to include use of agency and statewide contracts. - Previous experience managing staff time sheets and performance evaluations.
Comments/ Notes: - This position functions as the statewide coordinator with contract maintenance and regional teams. - Candidate will be based at SOSTC with statewide travel expected. - This position requires administrative as well as a maintenance background.
High school diploma/GED and eight (8) years of experience in maintenance and/or general building construction, which includes one (1) year in a managerial or supervisory role; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Construction Spec Spv (FEP053) or position equivalent
