UPMC Corporate Finance is seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager, Pharmacy 340B Program to lead the charge in optimizing and expanding our 340B Drug Pricing Program. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science and 5 years of hospital pharmacy operations and/or 340B contract pharmacy experience required (including minimum three years experience in operations, purchasing/procurement, pharmacy billing/information systems) or
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician and 7 years of hospital pharmacy operations and/or 340B contract pharmacy experience required (including minimum three years experience in operations, purchasing/procurement, pharmacy billing/information systems)
  • Master’s degree in Business/Management or Hospital Pharmacy Administration or related field preferred.
  • Strong management, problem solving, organizational and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to perform planning for large initiatives/projects, overseeing all tasks required to provide services to meet client and business needs within budget and targeted deadlines.
  • Strategic planning skills required.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to influence others.
Responsibilities
  • LEAD 340B STRATEGY & OVERSIGHT:Oversee the 340B program across UPMC, ensuring compliance, performance, and reporting. Collaborate with strategic partners to maximize program value and operational efficiency.
  • DRIVE INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY:Analyze and enhance 340B technology platforms (e.g., split billing, contract pharmacy software). Partner with Information Services to develop innovative tools that streamline operations and oversight.
  • COMMUNICATE & INFLUENCE:Serve as the primary liaison for pharmacy services, effectively communicating goals, strategies, and outcomes to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • ENSURE COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCE:Develop and maintain robust internal compliance programs, including self-audits and policy implementation aligned with federal and state regulations.
  • LEAD PEOPLE & PROJECTS:Manage and mentor a high-performing team to achieve pharmacy service line goals. Lead large-scale projects and strategic initiatives that elevate system-wide pharmacy performance.
  • COLLABORATE & REPRESENT:Represent pharmacy on key committees and initiatives. Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal service delivery and alignment with UPMC’s mission.
  • CHAMPION CHANGE & INNOVATION:Generate forward-thinking ideas, challenge the status quo, and build consensus around strategic solutions that drive long-term success.
