Manager, Content and Programming role Reports to Snr Director, Content Acquisition and Programming. As Manager, Content and Programming, the candidate is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of the Content team Affiliation, Transactional, Uplink and App agreements. He/She will support decision making process in preparing required documentation, track compliance with finance, legal and regulatory, monitor performance and communicate information internally as well as externally to partners. In addition, the candidate will play a key role in handling Transactional contractual relationships, negotiation, revenue attribution and tracking performance to Budget. The role will also require the candidate to review agreements and assess the key contract performance metrics.
To be successful in this role, you need excellent organization and communication skills, attention to detail, negotiating skills and in-depth knowledge of the content industry.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Proactive contract management and communication with relevant parties: repertoire agreements (track status, expiry dates and keys terms), monitor the performance of contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, provide periodic reviews and updates on contract statuses to stakeholders. Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Develop and prepare presentation materials and approval documents to support decision-making process: specifically, the Content Committee meetings and Operation Committees (OPCO).
- Negotiation: renew/amend transactional agreements with Studios and Adult providers, coordinate non-renewal and/or termination notices, extend Affiliation and App agreements.
- Track and analyze results: Create and manage dashboard(s) for television programming services performance, monthly reporting of revenues generated by Premium and Transactional services.
- Track compliance and implement agreed terms and obligations with internal groups such as Operation and Finance.
