SUMMARY: To schedule all surgical, pain, endoscopic or site specific procedures as well as PAT visits in the hospital computer system. This communication is received from the surgeon's office and takes into account such variables as equipment limitations, staffing operating room availability and coordination with the anesthesia staff; this will be done in a timely manner and with goal of 100% customer satisfaction. Schedules accurately all surgical procedures in hospital computer system. Collect all necessary information to book the procedure at the hospital or off site. Accurately enters all patients' demographic and insurance data into the hospital computer system. Accurately book the appropriate procedure in the appropriate location for the appropriate date and time. Indicate any specific need the patient may have or requests made by surgeon. Provide physicians office with necessary information for procedures. Be mindful that the customer deserves complete satisfaction in all dealings with the Medical center. Answer the telephone promptly. Make every effort to accommodate the patient and physician when scheduling procedures. Keep your voice at a low to moderate level, always mindful of confidentiality. Demonstrate awareness of and responds to customer needs in a continuing effort to improve quality of service. Receive all necessary required paperwork (H/P, Consents). Dissemble medical records when patient is discharged. Document OR record, PACU, and Anesthesia times in hospital computer system.Verify all cases. Assist with Kronos timekeeping. Prepare and deliver all monthly reports to PCD and Perioperative director with in a timely manner (Volume, block utilization, turnover times). Strong computer skills, knowledge of Meditech preferred.
