Description
Reporting to the Mental Health and Addictions (MHA) Program Supervisor, the MHA Youth Program Facilitator works closely with the with the health care team and community organizations to promote mental health wellness amongst young Nunavummiut. The purpose of this position is to determine community needs for children and youth, and identify and provide programs designed to improve the well-being of young people. The MHA Youth Program Facilitator will establish supportive relationships with youth and their families with the goal of empowering them to actively participate in mental health wellness. This position will reinforce, practice and model the mental health strategies of the Department of Health as part of the MHA team.
