We are currently looking to appoint a strategic and driven MHE (Materials Handling Equipment) National Asset Manager to take ownership of a critical fleet of nearly 900 assets across our 20 business units nationally.
This is a career-defining opportunity to shape the lifecycle strategy, performance, and safety compliance of one of the most vital operational areas of our business.

YOUR BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE WILL IDEALLY INCLUDE:

  • Experience managing asset portfolios or operations across multiple sites or regions
  • Strong knowledge of MHE types and lifecycle optimisation
  • Proven success in supplier and contract management
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and WHS requirements
  • Proficiency with asset management systems, ideally MEX
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in Asset Management or Project Management
  • Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage industries
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the MHE National Asset Manager, you will lead the strategic planning and management of all MHE assets-from forklifts to AGVs-ensuring optimal utilisation, performance, safety and cost efficiency across our nationwide network.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Drive the national asset lifecycle strategy including acquisition, maintenance, utilisation, and disposal
  • Develop and oversee cost-effective lifecycle models using OEM systems (Isite, Infolink)
  • Manage supplier and maintenance contracts and ensure performance compliance
  • Support the coordination of service schedules in partnership with regional maintenance teams
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and relevant safety standards (e.g. BRC)
  • Lead audits and inspections while championing safe equipment practices and training
  • Prepare national MHE budgets and track asset-related capex/opex
  • Deliver insights and reports to optimise asset planning and operational performance
  • Partner with site GMs and Operations to forecast future needs and drive efficiency
