Description
MHE2 2nd shift: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, Tuesday-Friday $18/hour   Description of the Position: Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in distribution center or storage yard.   Responsibilities: * Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards. * Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas. * Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped. * Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers. * Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances. * Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation. * Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely. * Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance. * Follow appropriate legal, safety, and security requirements when identifying, handling, and documenting theft, and other suspicious, criminal, or unwanted behavior. * Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates). * Monitor and maintain awareness as it relates to environmental related exceptions (i.e. Hazmat, storm water). * Provides information to associates and non-associates on asset protection policies, practices, and guidelines when required to do so * Observes and reports associate and non-associate behavior, identifies and investigates signs of shrink, suspicious or criminal activities, secures merchandise, security risks and conditions, and completes documentation of incidents in a timely manner. * Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. * Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments. * Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.). * Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies. #Ll-DNP
