Marshall Health Network Job Posting: Vice President of Ancillary Services   Position Summary: The Vice President of Ancillary Services is responsible for the comprehensive oversight and operational excellence of ancillary services across Marshall Health Network (MHN). Areas of responsibility include Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Respiratory Care, Sleep Services, and Rehabilitation Services. This leader ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through the efficient and effective delivery of these essential services, aligning operations with MHN’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.   Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide administrative oversight, leadership, and direction to all ancillary services departments to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. * Develop and implement strategic plans for each ancillary area aligned with organizational objectives and patient safety and quality initiatives. * Collaborate with organizational leaders to ensure seamless integration of ancillary services within MHN and the overall care model. * Lead effective communication regarding the availability of services to patients and clients. * Identify and implement best practices to optimize service delivery, improve workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance patient outcomes and experience. * Structure operational goals and activities to support MHN’s strategic objectives and mission. * Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to support innovation. * Oversee development and adherence to annual budgets and ensure cost-effective operations. * Oversee contract negotiations and vendor relationships for equipment, supplies, and services. * Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards. * Oversee capital planning and equipment procurement, installation, and life-cycle management. * Manage equipment maintenance, repair, calibration, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, FDA). * Foster intra-disciplinary collaboration to optimize patient care. * Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and expense reduction while maintaining quality and safety. * Build and maintain a high-performing team through recruitment, development, and retention. * Oversee performance management, staff development, and employee engagement strategies. * Build a culture that supports MHN’s mission and values. * Serve on internal management boards and committees as appropriate. Organizational Relationship: * Reports to: MHN Chief Operating Officer * Supervises: Multiple Ancillary Services Directors and Managers; CHH VP of Operations Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements: * Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field required. * Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations. * Experience with strategic planning, budget management, and operational oversight in a complex healthcare environment. * Demonstrated success in process improvement, innovation, and achieving measurable results. * Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation processes (e.g., Joint Commission, CLIA, CAP). Skills: * Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Strong financial acumen and analytical skills. * Advanced understanding of healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and quality improvement methodologies. * Ability to think strategically, innovate, and adapt to changing healthcare environments. * Proficiency in data analysis and metrics-based decision-making. * Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. * Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
