Description The Intern Billable Therapist is a paid internship/practicum position. The Intern Billable Therapist will conduct intakes and initial assessments to gather psychosocial, substance use, and diagnostic information from new and returning clients. The Intern Billable Therapist will provide a DSM diagnosis and make appropriate referrals to other internal programs if deemed appropriate. Requirements Varied hours $18.75 per hour Management reserves the rights to add, modify, change, or rescind the work assignments of different positions and to make reasonable accommodations so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job. Gathering information for the clinical assessment to include diagnostic criteria and psychosocial considerations for each client. Clearly outline client goals in the assessment for ease of transfer to the assigned clinician. Facilitate scheduling of clients for follow-up appointments with an assigned clinician. Make referrals to CCSS, BMS, PSR, MST, IOP, CLNM, CLNM WRAP, Housing, or psychiatric programs as deemed appropriate. Will utilize Treat First, brief assessment, and referrals as needed for clients that present with acute needs for social/community supports that can be accessed in an outpatient setting Provides crisis interventions and consults with members of the clinical team to provide the best care to clients. Utilize verbal de-escalation and crisis protocol for emergency services should the need arise. Conducts interviews, completes crisis assessments and enhanced clinical assessments to evaluate potential risk factors for higher level of care placements to acute inpatient facilities, residential treatment centers, and rehabilitation programs. Consults with members of the clinical team and various departments to ensure the best treatment for the clients served. Generates documentation for external referral sources as needed and requested. Meets weekly or more often to staff assessments and diagnoses of clients assessed. Maintains competency of evidence-based practices, skills, and interventions via conferences or webinars and attending trainings for certification. Maintain HIPAA and client confidentiality at all times. Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule is essential.
