Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As our first MI and Data Manager, you will lead the organisation from its existing data and MI maturity to a place where analytics, insights, and evidence-based decision making are embedded across every level. You’ll design and implement the strategy that brings structure, clarity, and action to our data—enabling smarter working, better reporting, and greater impact.
This role will involve working closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver lasting change and set LondonEnergy (LEL) up for success going forwards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and lead a data and MI strategy aligned with LEL’s current data maturity and long-term goals.
  • Drive a phased transformation from manual reporting to insight-led decision making.
  • Design and implement robust data governance frameworks to improve data quality, trust, and compliance (e.g., GDPR).
  • Create user-friendly, automated dashboards and reports in Power BI, promoting self-service access to data.
  • Champion a culture of data literacy through training, workshops, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate across departments to align data efforts with IT, operations, and engineering systems.
  • Act as a strategic leader and change agent, working with senior stakeholders to embed data-driven thinking across the organisation.
  • Work with the LEL IT team to design a modern data architecture that centralises and organises data from across systems which meets LEL’s aspirations and MI Requirements.
