  Underground Mine Supervisor    PERMANENT Position  Position to fill : 1 REFERENCE MI26-15 Deadline to apply: March 6th, 2026 The work location is in Nunavik and the normal work schedule is 12 hours per day on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (84 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest.    PRIVILEGES & BENEFITS  * Competitive salary including bonuses and a full range of benefits (group insurance, generous pension plan, telemedicine, EFAP, etc.).  * Learning and coaching opportunities.  * A friendly, committed and collaborative work environment.    RESPONSIBILITIES  Reporting to the Underground Mine Captain, the supervisor has the following responsibilities in particular:    * Plan, organize, manage material and human resources at the drilling, blasting, withdrawal, and backfilling level.  * Monitor the quality of work performed in accordance with the company's quality and profitability objectives.  * Manage and mobilize a team of around 20 people; lead complex cases and resolve conflicts in his department.  * Participate in human resources management practices (workforce planning, recruitment, management of disciplinary measures, staff evaluation, etc.).  * Develop and maintain a network with local stakeholders.  * Assist the contractor in his daily needs.  * Meet the company's health and safety requirements and recommendations.  * Perform other related tasks associated with this position.    QUALIFICATIONS  * Hold a college diploma (DEC) in mining, or equivalent.  * Have a Minimum of 10 years of experience in underground mining, including 5 years as a supervisor.  * Have strong skills in planning, leadership, and personnel management.  * Be able to take a position in more complex cases in conflict management and project management.  * Business acumen and a sense of excellence in customer service.  * Hold the mining modules (FMTM 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7).  * Hold a valid general explosive permit.  * Bilingualism (French and functional English).  * Hold a valid class 5 driving license.    Nice to have  * Accredited training in mine rescue and first aid in the workplace.  * Experience in the mining sector in northern Quebec.    PROFILE  * Work with a diverse a multi-cultural team.  * Autonomy, dynamism, positivity, respect, team spirit and versatility.  * Accept change.  * Work under pressure.       The masculine is used for the sole purpose of lightening the text and designates both the feminine and the masculine.  Only the selected candidates for an interview will be called.
