Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Micro-Integration Engineer to join a fast-growing team in Midland, TX, supporting the development and production of satellite systems. This is a hands-on, onsite role focused on mechanical and electronics assembly. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver launch-ready hardware in a high-volume, high-precision environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. (8 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably aerospace or automotive; oil/gas backgrounds less desirable).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CAD/CAM tools, and general computer applications.
  • Strong understanding of tooling and fixture design, gauging, Six Sigma, and capability studies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create instruction manuals, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Strong organizational, project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate new product designs for manufacturability, providing actionable feedback to R&D and Product Engineering teams.
  • Develop efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing processes, including tooling, fixturing, layout, testing, and documentation.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept studies to validate design and process feasibility.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause corrective actions (RCCAs), and implement long-term solutions.
  • Lead or participate in Kaizen, Safety, and other operational excellence initiatives.
  • Qualify new or modified products to ensure compliance throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale operations and optimize workflows in a high-volume production setting.
