Microbiology Quality Control Technician (Microbiology QC Tech) Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Monitor and document microbial levels in production environments.
- Prepare and maintain culture media, reagents, and laboratory equipment.
- Perform sterility testing on products and packaging materials.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of tests and results in lab notebooks and databases.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, guidelines, and safety protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to microbiological quality control.
- Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory equipment malfunctions and workflow issues.
- Stay current with advances in microbiological technology and methodologies.
Microbiology Quality Control Technician (Microbiology QC Tech) Qualifications & Skills
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in microbiology.
- Basic understanding of microbiological techniques and procedures.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Capability to follow detailed instructions and protocols.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software for data entry and analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and handle laboratory equipment and supplies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
