Microbiology Quality Control Technician (Microbiology QC Tech) Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Monitor and document microbial levels in production environments.
• Prepare and maintain culture media, reagents, and laboratory equipment.
• Perform sterility testing on products and packaging materials.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of tests and results in lab notebooks and databases.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, guidelines, and safety protocols.
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Participate in internal and external audits related to microbiological quality control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory equipment malfunctions and workflow issues.
• Stay current with advances in microbiological technology and methodologies.

Microbiology Quality Control Technician (Microbiology QC Tech) Qualifications & Skills

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in microbiology.
• Basic understanding of microbiological techniques and procedures.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Capability to follow detailed instructions and protocols.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software for data entry and analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and handle laboratory equipment and supplies.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
