We have an exciting opportunity to lead microbiological testing, hygiene practices, and proficiency and sanitation programs across our Wiri site. This full-time role is focused on ensuring product safety and compliance with HACCP and regulatory standards. You’ll be at the forefront of driving excellence in microbiology and hygiene, supporting continuous improvement, and fostering a strong culture of food safety. A key aspect of this role is the ability to collaborate with and influence manufacturing teams—not just to measure microbiological results, but to drive meaningful change through education and engagement.About You | Nō hea koe You’re someone who enjoys solving problems, navigating ambiguity, and approaching challenges with a positive, proactive mindset. You thrive in a close-knit team within a global organisation and bring valuable experience in Microbiology and Hygiene Leadership. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: A strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and sanitation principles Experience in micro validation (PCR lab experience is a bonus) Hands-on experience in microbiological testing and lab management Confidence in analysing and trending data A bachelor’s degree in microbiology, or 3+ years of relevant experience Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and influence stakeholders You’ll enjoy the pace of a dynamic business, be highly organised, and bring a solutions-focused approach to your work.
