Job Title: Microbiology Administrator
Summary and Reporting Structure: The Microbiology Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the microbiology team by ensuring efficient management of samples and data within the laboratory. Reporting to the Microbiology Lab Supervisor, this position is essential for maintaining compliance with GMP and ISO17025 standards while providing excellent customer service and administrative support.
Responsibilities:
Work under the direction of the Microbiology Lab Supervisor to maintain compliance with company safety policies and cGMP.
Support the Laboratory Quality System to ensure adherence to GMP and ISO17025 standards.
Implement Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in all tasks.
Log samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) accurately and efficiently.
Enter test results and create comprehensive test reports as required.
Label and complete relevant paperwork for samples received in the laboratory.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and issues with professionalism.
Liaise with the Lab Supervisor and logistics department to coordinate sample collection schedules.
Manage the outsourcing of subcontracted testing as necessary.
Assist the Finance department with purchase invoice queries and processing sales invoices.
Utilize the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to enhance efficiency in data input and reporting.
Inform the Lab Supervisor of any out of specification results promptly.
Perform data trending and analysis to support laboratory operations.
Carry out additional activities as assigned by the Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor.
Actively support the Lean Laboratory program within the Microbiology Laboratory.
