QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED INCLUDE:

• Ideally, 12 months’ laboratory experience (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to reflect on performance and actively drive personal development.
• Openness to new ideas and approaches, with the ability to lead by example.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Accountable and responsible for personal actions.
• Self-disciplined with effective communication skills.

• Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Completion of an English and Maths test will form part of the interview process

As a member of the Quality Assurance Team the role will involve:

• Collecting, analysing, and reporting on microbiological samples.
• Demonstrating commitment to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance through personal actions.
• Preparing media and conducting microbiological analyses in accordance with established methods, recording and documenting results on laboratory sheets and computer spreadsheets.
• Managing product releases using company inventory systems, performing quality control checks, and carrying out equipment calibration.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe microbiology laboratory.
• Interpreting results accurately and escalating issues where appropriate.
