MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our Teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join our Environment & Safety Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a proactive, reliable and committed individual to join our Environmental Team. It is key that you are able to work efficiently and independently, as well as work well as part of a wider Team. There will also be opportunities to learn testing in both our chemistry and gravimetric laboratories, growing your skills and knowledge.

THE TASKS YOU WILL UNDERTAKE WILL INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

• Perform a variety of Microbiological tests in accordance with UKAS accreditation
• Calibrate, clean and maintain laboratory equipment
• prepare and validate media
• Solo weekend working to record results and report to clients

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:

• Both an ability to work well in a team, as well as independently
• An ability to follow written procedures accurately
