SUMMARY OF POSITION

A Microbiological Culture Technician is responsible for propagating bacterial cultures for inoculation of production batches, executing research experiments, and work with customer service staff.

Responsibilities
  • Reading and understanding of the weekly production schedule, selecting of appropriate production seed, and propagating seed to final inoculum.
  • Conduct Quality Control testing on seed and all intermediate steps of the production inoculum.
  • Maintain and propagate both the production and research seed banks.
  • Relay experimental data effectively to senior technicians and assist in analysis
  • Clean all laboratory areas according to the weekly sanitation schedule
  • Restock laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Responsible for all proper documents needed for the seed bank and inoculum.
  • Assist other departments if needed per the supervisor
