Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in Microsoft 365, Office 365, Azure, and Entra (Azure Active Directory), including identity management, user provisioning, and security configurations.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for Windows Operating Systems and hardware, with proficiency in device drivers and system optimization.
  • Knowledge of networking infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless systems (e.g., routers, switches, and access points).
  • Experience with security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Intune, and endpoint management solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining technical concepts to clients in a clear and professional manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support, including hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows Server.
  • Relevant certifications (preferred):
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
  • CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking certification.
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract (for occasional on-site visits).
  • Must be bondable and authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

As a IT Support Specialist with advanced Microsoft expertise, you will provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for our clients in the dental and healthcare industries. In addition to resolving escalated tickets and providing helpdesk support, you will leverage your advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Office 365, Azure, and Entra (Azure Active Directory) to assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based and on-premises solutions. Success in this role requires strong technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trust with clients through reliable and professional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting and technical assistance via helpdesk and remote support for escalated client issues, focusing on Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and supporting client IT infrastructures, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory environments.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) for identity and access management, group policies, and security compliance.
  • Support the deployment, monitoring, configuration, and maintenance of client devices and operating systems, ensuring performance and availability.
  • Assist in migrating clients to Microsoft 365 or hybrid Azure environments, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and Wi-Fi solutions, with a focus on secure connectivity.
  • Implement and support network security, including firewalls, endpoint security, and compliance monitoring tools like Microsoft Defender.
  • Perform proactive maintenance and disaster recovery planning, including backups, monitoring, and recovery testing for client systems.
  • Manage and document client IT environments to ensure accurate and up-to-date configurations, inventory, and network diagrams.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing reliable, professional service and delivering clear, actionable solutions.
