SUMMARY

The Microsoft 365 Technician at Myriad requires a strong understanding of Myriad’s M365 offerings and their practical applications. This role involves actively applying expertise to support and optimize M365 services for client organizations.
Responsibilities include providing technical support, implementing and maintaining M365 applications (such as Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Defender), managing security settings, and ensuring the smooth operation of the M365 platform. The technician will troubleshoot user issues, document configurations, and contribute to projects and requests from IT Management.
The Microsoft 365 Technician will demonstrate a commitment to excellence, delivering innovative solutions and maintaining the stability and efficiency of M365 services. Proficiency in M365 administration, coupled with strong problem-solving skills, is essential for success in this role.
Additionally, the Microsoft 365 Technician will offer general support for the IT department, assisting in operational procedure development and resolving technical issues. They will align efforts with Myriad’s strategic goals, serving as a key contributor to the IT team’s success.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS)

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Axure Active Directory, and PowerApps, as well as administration tools like Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Azure Portal
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and expertise in mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to M365 services, user accounts, network connectivity, and application performance.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools to streamline M365 management, automate tasks, and support large-scale deployments.
  • Knowledge of configuring and managing M365 security features, such as Microsoft Defender for Office 365, data loss prevention (DLP), and compliance policies.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals or Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, are a plus.

  • Deliver technical support and troubleshooting for Microsoft 365 (M365) applications, resolving issues such as account management, password resets, email configuration, and security concerns across various channels, including phone, email, and chat.
  • Implement and configure M365 services for new users, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems while managing user accounts, licenses, and security policies.
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of M365 services, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Administer and manage collaboration tools, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, troubleshooting access and permissions issues to optimize workflow and user experience.
  • Apply and maintain security measures, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), data loss prevention (DLP), and threat management policies, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges, such as system integration issues, network connectivity problems, and device compatibility concerns, ensuring continuity and performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, user guides, and a knowledge base to streamline support processes and enhance user self-sufficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on M365 features and best practices, promoting effective use and adoption of the platform to improve organizational productivity.
