MICROSOFT DATAVERSE DATA MIGRATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dataverse Data Migration Specialist to support a federal government project. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience working with Microsoft Dataverse, the core data platform for Power Apps, and hands-on experience with Power Automate. This role involves migrating data from Microsoft SQL Server databases into Dataverse using industry best practices for data transformation, integration, and quality assurance. This individual will be required to work closely with members of NexGen and client’s teams, including but not limited to subject matter experts, technical staff, and project managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Plan and execute data migrations from Microsoft SQL Server databases into Dataverse (Power Platform).
• Design and develop ETL processes using Power Automate, scripting, and other tools to streamline migration.
• Ensure data integrity, validation, and transformation throughout the migration process.
• Collaborate with Power Platform developers to align migrated data with business applications built on Power Apps.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data migration issues, optimizing performance and ensuring accurate data transfer.
• Develop and maintain documentation for migration processes, mappings, and best practices.
• Work within Agile project teams, providing insights and recommendations for improving data migration strategies.

Technical Skills:

• 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft Dataverse, including schema design, data integration, and security management.
• Hands-on experience with Power Automate for workflow automation and data integration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
• Experience with data migration into the Microsoft Power Platform, particularly into Dataverse.
• Understanding of Power Platform architecture, including data flows between Dataverse and Power Apps.

Desired Skills:

• Prior experience migrating data from Microsoft SQL Server to Dataverse.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or other ETL tools for advanced data migration.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving data migration challenges.
• The successful candidate will also be able to pass background screening prior to employment. \
• US Citizenship, or legal permanent residence, or US work authorization with minimum 3 years of continuous US presence is required due to federal contract requirements.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or in a related field.
