Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Consultant to support, enhance, and help drive the ongoing implementation and adoption of our ERP platform across the business. As a leader in the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) distribution and trading sector, our operations depend on robust finance, procurement, inventory, and supply-chain processes. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams — gathering requirements, configuring solutions, resolving issues, and ensuring the ERP delivers measurable value. Prior involvement in a D365 implementation within a trading, distribution, or wholesale environment is strongly preferred.

  • Functional Ownership — Serve as a functional subject-matter expert for D365 Finance & Operations, covering core Finance and Supply Chain Management modules.
  • Requirements — Gather, analyse, and document business requirements; translate them into functional design documents, configurations, and workable ERP solutions.
  • Configuration — Configure and maintain modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management, Trade & Logistics (Sales/Purchase Orders), and Warehouse Management.
  • Implementation — Support and contribute to end-to-end implementation and roll-out activities — fit-gap analysis, solution design, data migration, testing (SIT/UAT), cutover, and go-live support.
  • Support — Diagnose and resolve day-to-day functional issues, manage support tickets, and coordinate with Microsoft partners/vendors for escalations.
  • Integrations — Design and validate integrations and data flows between D365 F&O and third-party systems (e.g. CRM, e-commerce, banking, logistics, reporting/BI).
  • Training — Prepare training materials, conduct end-user training, and provide clear documentation for processes and configurations.
  • Stakeholders — Work with finance, procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to streamline and standardise trading and distribution processes within the ERP.
  • Governance — Support period-end/year-end financial close activities and ensure data integrity, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Improvement — Contribute to continuous improvement, new feature adoption, and management of platform updates and release cycles.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Strong functional knowledge of finance and supply-chain processes, with the ability to configure and troubleshoot across multiple modules.
  • Proven experience across the full ERP project lifecycle — requirements gathering, configuration, testing, data migration, and go-live support.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and trading/distribution business processes (procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, inventory and stock management).
  • Experience preparing functional documentation, test scripts, and delivering end-user training.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Preferred / Advantageous
    • Industry — Direct involvement in at least one full D365 Finance & Operations implementation within a trading, distribution, wholesale, or HVAC/industrial-products industry.
    • Certification — Microsoft certification such as MB-300, MB-310 (Finance), or MB-330 (Supply Chain Management).
  • Power Platform — Familiarity with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and Dataverse.

  • Key Competencies
      • Strong business-process orientation with attention to detail and data accuracy.
      • Ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional project teams.
      • Effective communicator, able to translate between business and technical audiences.
      • Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Employment Type
