Canda Six Fortune Enterprise Co. Ltd. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. We are currently looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Finance Consultant to join our Finance Team in BC.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Finance Consultant for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O version) and comprehensive experience in finance and accounting. This role requires a hands-on professional capable of providing training to staff, overseeing and optimizing key financial processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will also contribute to system optimization, financial strategy, and operational efficiencies, demonstrating a proven ability to drive improvements through the effective use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.

REQUIREMENTS / MUST-HAVES:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • Professional Designation: CPA, CGA, or CMA (completed or near completion).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in finance Analyst-type roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O version) is mandatory, with strong expertise in the Finance functional area.
  • Full cycle Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O implementation experience coupled with a comprehensive understanding of ERP applications
  • Dynamics 365 F&O/AX certifications in the relevant business disciplines will be considered in our selection process
  • Extensive functional knowledge in finance (General Ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, multiple business management, multiple currency management)
  • Knowledge of Budgeting, Project Budgeting and Project Accounting
  • Process analysis, redesign, and documentation experience
  • Experience in working on functional design, configuration, and process alignment with a detailed understanding of Financial System concepts and general module functionality.
  • Proven track record in financial reporting, variance analysis, and cost control.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP system implementation and training.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Dynamics 365 Leadership:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Dynamics 365 (F&O version).
  • Provide system training and ongoing support to team members.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize Dynamics 365 for financial reporting and operational effectiveness.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare and present financial reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis for sales, costs, margins, and overheads, providing actionable insights.
  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and departmental budgets.
  • Accounting Operations:
  • Oversee A/R, A/P, GL, inventory accounting, and cost accounting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes.
  • Manage inventory controls, including physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance:
  • Streamline financial processes, procedures, and system controls for efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal reporting requirements, tax filings, and internal policies.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
  • Team Training & Development:
  • Lead centralized training sessions for the Finance team and other departments.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for staff development in finance-related functions.
  • Project Management:
  • Support finance-related system projects, including implementation, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational improvements.
