Located near Square One in Mississauga, Metalworks Institute is Canada’s largest and most comprehensive applied arts music school. Amongst many accolades, we’ve been recognized twice by our peers in the Canadian music industry as Canadian Music School of the Year. Our biggest point of pride though is the success of our alumni – whether on-stage or behind-the-scenes, our alumni are making their mark on the Canadian and global music industry!
Metalworks Institute is the educational branch of Metalworks, a sister company to the world-famous Metalworks Studios (recording studio), Metalworks Production Group (live event production), and emerging tech start-up SoundsUnite (app-based music education). Metalworks has been a pillar of the Canadian music scene for almost 50 years.
Metalworks Institute offers 12 Diploma and Advanced Diploma Programs across four streams of education: Music Performance, Recorded Music, Live Music, and Music Business. Students can elect to study on campus, online, or a combination of both. We offer various pathways and partnerships with other Canadian post-secondary institutions including Laurier and Yorkville.
