Microsoft M365 Architect / Engineer
DocPoint Solutions is searching for a Microsoft M365 Architect / Engineer that will be leading and working with a development team to follow a strategic direction during development. Using best industry practices is critical to our customers success.
Proficiency in the M365 stack with SharePoint, PowerApps, Forms and RPA apps. Content Management Power Apps, Automate, Forms, Flow, Nintex etc. — SQL Server and Windows servers (in Azure), Visual Studio, C# , familiarity with Azure infrastructure a plus.

SUMMARY:

A senior M365 solution architect is a professional who designs services or applications for an organization. This profession involves leading and working with a development team to follow a strategic direction during development. The primary goal of a senior solution architect is to make the best technical decisions possible to have a positive effect on business and project outcomes.

PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Familiarity with Oracle Solutions, forms and automation, ColdFusion.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft stack related to:– M365 suite of products and apps– Content Management– Power Apps, Automate, Forms, Flow etc.– SQL Server (in Azure)– Windows servers (in Azure)– Azure Architecture and implementation– SharePoint Online
  • Visual Studio, C#
  • Familiarity with Azure infrastructure a plus

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Strong customer interaction skills and ability to understand and document customer needs from a business solutions perspective.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team or in a lead role, including leading teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work effectively on multiple priorities with firm delivery dates.
  • Effective communication skills within information technology and business environments.
  • Solid understanding of the M365 platform and apps
  • 5 years of technical design and documentation, both technical and end user focused
  • 5 years of experience in defining SharePoint farm architecture, including infrastructure, service applications and farm maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint security, backup / recovery processes, configuration, administration and support of SharePoint farms.
  • Strong experience troubleshooting SharePoint performance, configuration and application issues.
  • Strong desire to learn a variety of IT disciplines, either through self-study, collaboration with other teams and/or 3rd party services.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development team and client as a technical advisor.
  • Use emerging technologies to support the solutions architecture team.
  • Come up with “Out of the box” and customized solutions for clients.
  • Drive the team with effective supervision, coaching and mentoring in coordination with the project manager.
  • Lead Full SLCD and UAT processes
  • Provide alternative solutions or approaches by improving technology.
  • Act as the intermediary between computer programming engineers, project manager, business analysts and business managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers, having a high degree of contact with other employees, clients and prospects.
  • Contribute to development team growth through strong team interactions, be comfortable accepting feedback, positive and negative, and be driven by both time constraints and a personal commitment to quality.
  • Create functional design documents, translate the business requirements into system requirements, create a prototype of recommended solutions, demo to the users, and implement the solution.
  • Communicate Conceptual and Detail Designs to Client and Development Team
  • Review client requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; assist in preparing time and cost estimates.
