DIGITAL WORKPLACE SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

Rate: $70–85/hr + Benefits
Contract: 3–6 months; Potential Contract-to-Hire
Hours Per Week: 30–32 hours/week
Del Oro Consulting, a national consulting solutions provider with 20+ years of experience delivering services to global technology leaders, is seeking an experienced Digital Workplace Solutions Architect to support a major client engagement, with a primary focus on Microsoft technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience designing Microsoft environments across on-premises and cloud-based services.
  • Proven expertise with Azure, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Azure AD/Entra, Teams, Power Platform, Purview, and related technologies.
  • Experience supporting environments with 1,000+ concurrent users.
  • Knowledge of 3rd-party Microsoft ecosystem tools (Quest, ShareGate, BitTitan).
  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Leadership experience managing complex technical projects.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience scoping, estimating, and delivering enterprise Microsoft solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Solutions Architect will act as a subject matter expert in Digital Workplace design, implementation, and best practices. Responsibilities include overseeing project delivery, mentoring technical teams, and working directly with client stakeholders, from engineers to executives, to align technical solutions with business goals. The role also contributes to presales activities, workshops, and solution development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Delivery

  • Lead the design and implementation of Digital Workplace solutions aligned with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Conduct assessments, develop architectures, and oversee delivery of Microsoft-based environments.
  • Deliver Microsoft workshops on topics such as Copilot for M365, Security, Data Governance, and Teams.
  • Manage complex engagements, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure timely completion.
  • Support scoping efforts, prepare Statements of Work (SOWs), and deliver technical presentations.

Business & Practice Development

  • Mentor and coach technical team members to enhance delivery capabilities.
  • Review engagement deliverables for quality and alignment with client expectations.
  • Collaborate with presales teams to define scope, timing, and proposal content.
  • Identify additional opportunities within client environments and partner with sales teams to pursue them.
  • Represent the practice at industry events and contribute to technical and marketing content.
