We are looking for individuals who are available to work Mid-day and Afternoons.
Behaviour Interventionist: 1:1 in-home educator providing behaviour and academic support for children with exceptionalities such as an Autism Diagnosis and ADHD.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Have a post-secondary education in a related field; Psychology, ECE, Child and Youth Care, Special Education Assistant (Preferred)
  • At least 1 year of previous experience with children or youth with diverse abilities. (Required)
  • Background in ABA or tutoring services (beneficial, but not required).
  • Be 19 years old or older.
  • First aid (we will provide).
  • Clear criminal record check with Vulnerable population (requirement).
  • MANDT training (we will provide).
  • Valid BC Driver’s License
  • “Business Use” car insurance & $3,000,000 Third-Party Liability Insurance (requirement).
Responsibilities
  • Carefully implement programming that has been created in collaboration with their learner and their family. This includes following written recommendations, planning for generalization, and data collection.
  • Encourage feedback on their learners’ preferences & priorities, creating a supportive environment where their learners feel heard.
  • Create a fun & exciting learning environment where the learners they support enjoy learning.
  • Complete digital record keeping (e.g., sessions summaries, uploading permanent products or data, maintenance of their learning schedule, monitoring their hours, & day of billing).
  • Maintaining adequate open and honest communication with the caregivers regarding expectations
  • Assume responsibility for binder maintenance. This includes organization of teaching materials and printing data, or requesting caregivers to fulfill this task. If teaching materials are unavailable or missing, they will reach out to their Behaviour Analyst for direction.
