Job Description About the Role We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Spark Developer to join our data engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data processing solutions using Apache Spark and related technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, build scalable data pipelines, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data platform. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend data processing solutions using Apache Spark. Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Develop scalable data pipelines and ETL processes. Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices. Use Git for version control and collaborative development. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues. Contribute proactively to improving processes, systems, and team collaboration. Qualifications Required Qualifications 1.5–2 years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field. Strong knowledge of SQL, including ANSI SQL, Hive SQL, and Spark SQL. Hands-on experience with Apache Spark. Experience with Scala (preferred) or another programming language such as Python or Java. Experience working with Git. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and deliver results. English proficiency of B2 level or higher. Nice to Have Experience with cloud-based or enterprise Spark environments such as: Azure Databricks Amazon EMR Cloudera Other Spark-based platforms Understanding of Apache Hive. Experience with reporting and visualization tools, such as Power BI. Preferred Technology Stack Apache Spark Scala / Python / Java SQL (ANSI SQL, Hive SQL, Spark SQL) Git Hive Azure Databricks / Amazon EMR / Cloudera Power BI (nice to have) Additional Information What do we offer you?
