Newberry Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physicians Assistant (PA) to join our exceptional team. Job Summary The NP/PA will provide comprehensive primary care services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. The provider will practice with a high level of autonomy while collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes. Documentation is completed in Athenahealth Electronic Health Record (EHR). Responsibilities Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Perform physical exams and order/interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs, Holter monitors, PFTs, etc.) Develop and implement treatment plans Perform in-office procedures such as suturing, I&D, injections, immunizations, and minor procedures Educate patients on disease management and preventative care Collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical team members Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR Support a positive patient experience and team environment Requirements Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Active and unrestricted NP or PA license in South Carolina National certification (ANCC, AANP, PANCE, etc.) preferred BLS certification required Newberry County Memorial Hospital provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
